Fleetwood Mac is formally confirming that Christine McVie is back in the band.
Publicist Liz Rosenberg tells "Billboard" that the singer-keyboardist "has indeed rejoined" the group. She adds that they're "hoping to make an announcement about a possible tour for the full tilt Macsters some time in 2014."
McVie spent nearly 30 years in the band, and wrote many of their hits. Her contributions include the hits "Say You Love Me," "You Make Loving Fun," "Hold Me," and "Don't Stop." She left the band in 1998.
Last year, while promoting Fleetwood Mac's 35th anniversary edition of "Rumours," Christine initially told the media she still had no desire to return to the group. But over the course of the year her attitude changed. And after sitting in with the band at two shows in London last September, she revealed that she wanted to be a part of the group again.
