The Who's Roger Daltrey has earned a new title. The rock legend has become the very first Patron of the Brighton Institute of Modern Music. Daltrey says he's "delighted" to receive the appointment. He praises BIMM Brighton as "a fantastic platform for talented young musicians," explaining that they're "given the opportunity to thrive and grow within the music industry."
The singer adds that he's "very happy to support new music in the UK and BIMM is helping to develop and nurture future talent organically and successfully." BIMM Brighton Principal Vaseema Hamilton says the school is thrilled to have Daltrey on board. She explains that between his years with The Who and his successful solo career as a singer and an actor he will "prove to be a truly inspiring Patron for our aspiring young musicians here at BIMM Brighton."
BIMM is a music college that prepares students for careers in the music business. BIMM Brighton was established in 2001.
