It's safe to call me a pizza lover, if not full-fledged pizza connoisseur. Growing up, we had pizza/wing joints on every corner. I once counted 13 within two miles of my house. Take-out pizza and wings is very popular in Buffalo. We'd go that route at least once or twice a week. As a teenager, probably more like 4 or 5 times.

This isn't going to be one of those blogs where I brag about where I grew up and knock where I now call home. I'm happy to say that Asheville, in my opinion, has a great selection of pizza joints. My favorites would be Favilla's, Nona Mia's, Mellow Mushroom, Barley's, Marco's, and Digable. Which one we choose really comes down to mood, as they're all a little bit different, but all delicious.

But where is the best pizza in the country?

Photo via Flickr/rob_rob2001 has released a list of the best cities for pizza in America – with the list based on the highest average rating by city for all restaurants that serve pizza.

Here’s a rundown of the Top 10:

1. San Diego, California

Those traveling to seaside SoCal can enjoy authentic tastes of Italy just miles from the Mexican border. With more than 100 nearby pizzerias, those with an appetite can grab a slice at Bronx, Filippi's, or Golden Hill's Pizzeria Luigi where mouthwatering toppings include sun-dried tomatoes, roasted red peppers, and homemade meatballs. A TripAdvisor traveler commented, "The pizza was just as good as being home in New York."

2. Las Vegas, Nevada

3. Boston, Massachusetts

4. New York City, New York

5. Seattle, Washington

6. Austin, Texas

7. San Francisco, California

8. Indianapolis, Indiana

What? No Chicago?
