Noel Gallagher says the likes of Bruce Springsteen and Paul McCartney are "just ordinary guys with extraordinary gifts."
Gallagher told Rolling Stone that while he's not a Springsteen disciple, he couldn't have any more respect for Springsteen as an artist.
The former Oasis guitarist said of Springsteen, "[Americans] should be f---ing proud of that guy."
"We talked for hours—just about music, what it means," Gallagher added of a memorable night he spent with The Boss. "It was quite inspiring to hear him talk the way he talks."

Gallagher's most recent album, Who Built the Moon, was released in November and hit #1 in the U.K.
Over the summer, Gallagher and his band, High Flying Birds, supported U2 on its Joshua Tree anniversary tour.
Gallagher told Q104.3 New York's Jonathan Clarke last year that he would have pushed back the release of his album to play more dates with U2.
"We had the most fun you could ever ring out of a stadium tour ever," he said. "It was great. On the last day if they said, 'We're going to add another 30 dates; you're going to have to put your album back a year,' I probably would have done it."
While Noel and his brother Liam Gallagher have no plans of reuniting Oasis—Noel told Jonathan Clark that the Second Coming of Jesus Christ was more likely—the brothers reportedly resolved some of their differences this past Christmas.
"I wanna say Happy Xmas to team [Noel Gallagher]," Liam wrote via his official Twitter account a few days before Christmas. "It's been a great year thanks for everything looking forward to seeing you tmorrow [sic]."
Liam's new album, As You Were, debuted at #1 in the U.K. a month before Noel's album was released.
