Bruce Springsteen announced plans to release not one, not two, but seven new albums this summer.
The "Born in the U.S.A" icon is transporting fans back to the "Glory Days" with Tracks II: The Lost Albums, featuring 82 tracks penned from 1983 to 2018. Seventy-four of these songs, included in albums LA Garage Sessions of '83, Streets Of Philadelphia Sessions, Faithless, Somewhere North Of Nashville, Inyo, Twilight House, and Perfect World, have never been heard before.
The Boss shared the exciting news on Instagram, revealing that he finished a handful of records during the COVID-19 pandemic that he's ready to gift to the world.
"I often read about myself in the '80s and '90s as having some lost period or something. I was working the whole time. During the pandemic, what I did for that period of time, was I finished everything I had in my vault. The lost albums are records that were full records; some of them even to the point of being mixed and not released."
In addition to announcing seven new records, Springsteen released "Rain in the River" from Perfect World, which "encapsulates that project’s arena-ready E Street flavor," per his website.
The "Dancing in the Dark" hitmaker will also offer Tracks II: The Lost Albums as a box set with a 100-page hardcover book. Bruce Tramps can subscribe to lostalbums.net to stay informed on the exciting project.
Tracks II: The Lost Albums, slated for release on June 27, 2025, is available for pre-order now.
