Things are different in Alaska. If you've ever been there or if you live there you know this is a fact. The tiny print at the end of ads always say prices slightly higher in Alaska. We aren't saying that's what causes things to be different in Alaska, but it is one of the many things that Alaskan's put up with on a daily basis. Then there is the 4th Of July. The town of Glacier View, Alaska celebrated the 20-year anniversary of their "signature car launch" on the Fourth of July. The sun stays up too long to have any fireworks show, so they decided YEARS ago to launch cars off a giant cliff and it is AWESOME! Because what could be more patriotic than hurling cars off of a cliff? Thousands of Alaskans gathered round to witness the carnage. Check out some footage from this year's event:
